Emarketing & content performance
3 Feb 2015 Mobile marketing strategy : the future of conversion is now !
An average consumer spends nearly three hours per day on a smartphone. Needless to say, it’s a prolific way to engage them. Most brands tend to create highly engaging, relevant, and effective mobile campaigns. How to do so ? Concentrate on content Great campaigns mean good content! Do not avoid it by focusing on the planning process. Reunite the editorial content, products, and sales leads team of your company to determine which mobile creative and media approaches will be the most effective with its core demographics. Incorporate it in your multichannel campaign Mobile should not be a separate entity in the marketing mix: brands that “get” mobile integrate it within their overall marketing/media mix along with broadcast TV, radio, print, and digital. While tv broadcasting will be dedicated to brand awarness, mobile strategy will be more deployed to leverage location- based sales, in direct connection with the customer. Brands that have vertically integrated systems that link their mobile offers to in-store point-of-sale systems and cash registers will be victorious—especially during the critical holiday shopping season. Reward your customers According to Forrester Research, more than 70 percent of consumers will engage with a mobile ad if they know that they will receive some type of tangible reward. As an example, Dunkin’ Donuts created a mobile check-in app that rewards consumers every time they check into a store, bestowing them with free coffee, products, or discounts on future purchases. Dunkin’ Donuts has realized a 24 percent increase in in-store sales alone. To get more counseling on mobile digital strategy, you can read Paul Krasinski's article "the 5 golden rules of mobile". 27 Jan 2015 How to overcome negative social media reviews?
That’s a natural tendancy : people are more likely to speak up to notice an issue or adress negative critics, than to praise a product, a company. Social media has become the new CRM for consumers, where they feel free to share their impressions and critics. People tend to believe in other consumers’ testimonies more than in media reviews. Instead of calling a customer service without the guarantee that the phone will be manned, social networks confer the impression to be in direct contact with a real person. At least with the community manager of the company who will read requests and negative comments. A written record, a better chance to be heard by the brand, and also to receive help from other customers. On social networks, every opinion counts and have repercussions, notably on your e-reputation, but also on your off-line brand reputation. A poor social media activity and poor social management strategy will relay you as an old-fashioned unreliable brand. Reply fastly The more you answer fastly, the more you show your audience that you are constantly aware, active on the page and ready to reply to your customers. Once removed from the initial emotion of whatever happened, the majority of customers will be willing to work with you, mainly because they would rather have their problem addressed than continue to complain about it and not have it fixed fastest you answer. If the answer conveys a particular explanation, it should be done offline and privately. Thank your customer Show your recognition by thanking your customer with a reply comment,  for notifying an issue. That can only prove your devotion to your consumers’ expectations; and that you own a good social media manager team, that has well integrated social media challenges. Adding a positive comment is much better than deleting the negative social media comment because it shows that you respond to your customers in a timely manner. Put your reply in relief When they read a bad review, people expect to see if the brand has handled it and gave a solution to the issue. It will be a satisfaction to them to note that the brand they are fan of is here for them and keeps supporting them after purchase. Every fan can receive a personalized reply. It’s also flattering to be taken in consideration by the brand, and this can reinforce their loyalty. Don’t post anonymously – Let the world know who you are and what your company did to address the issue. To know more about overcoming bad reviews, you can read this article by Jeff Kear on PlanningPod.
